Swedish Oat Cookies

👋 Intro

Yields about 20 cookies. You can replace the raisins with cranberries, or add coarsely chopped nuts.

🌶️ Ingredients

125 Gram Butter
175 Gram Sugar
1 Pack Vanillasugar
1 Piece Egg
0.5 Teaspoon Salt
75 Gram Flour
75 Gram Nuts
100 Gram Oats
1 Teaspoon Baking Soda
1 Pinch Cinnamon
50 Gram Raisins

🍲 Process

  • Mix Butter, Sugar, vanilla sugar, Salt and Egg in a bowl.
  • In another bowl, mix Flour, Nuts, Oats, Baking Soda and Cinnamon. Add to the Butter-Sugar mix.
  • Use teaspoons to form small heaps and put on a baking plate with baking paper. They should be about 8 cm apart. You might fit 9 heaps on one plate.
  • Bake in preheated oven at 175 °C for about 15 min. Cookies still need to be soft when you take them out of the oven.
  • Wait for a few minutes before taking them from the baking tray. Be careful not to break them. They will get harder with time.
